Half circle table

Furniture Redos

I went to a lot of garage sales in my day. A woman was having a moving away sale. I saw this table and fell in love with it. It wasn’t on sale, but the woman sold it to me anyway.

The finish had been worn away – I think it was being used as a plant table. I sanded it down, painted it pink, then painted it white on top of that. I coated it with polyurethane for a little shine.

It perfectly matches my coffee table now. It now hosts a little shrine of my most favorite objects.

Revamping a wooden chest

Furniture Redos

I love to go to garage sales. Sometimes I get sold the best items. It’s why I now own a bowling ball with matching bowling shoes.

At one such garage sale, an scruffy guy sold me this wooden chest full of records for $1 because it was his ex’s. I happily took him up on the offer.

It needed some love, so I cut of the rope handles, sanded it down, spray painted it a blue that reminded me of the ocean, added new hardware, and printed myself a nautical themed liner for the bottom.

It now lives at the foot of my bed and is one of my favorite furniture piece. What a deal! (Sorry that guy’s ex-girlfriend…)
